Preschool Eligibility Information
Eligibility and qualification is based off of Child's Needs and Family Income
What are Child's needs?
Children who are turning 3 or 4 by December 1st, CPS/ at risk Child, Active IEP, or Foster Child
What is Family Income and do we need to show proof?
The Income shared by people living in the same household. To show proof of income some common documents to have on hand are:
- Paystubs
- Tax returns
- W2
- 1099 form
- Employer letter
- Unemployment documentation
- Insurance disability.
Families are eligible for Participation as determined during a confidential eligibility process. Each family who qualifies for services must be recertified every 24 months in order to continue in the program.
Eligibility is determined by income, homelessness, CPS, at- rick and/or CalWorks. Monthly income must be at or below 100% of the state median income adjusted for family size. Children who are in needs are served first followed by lowest income families.
